Maryland Marina, located in Middle River on the Chesapeake Bay, started its operation in May of 1946. It was founded by Edward J. Miskiewicz*, his brother, Leonard J. Myskiewicz*, and their father, Felix F. Myskiewicz*. It began as a small boat manufacturing plant under the name of Maryland Marine Manufacturing Company which built small rowboats for Montgomery Wards, Sears & Roebuck as well as the general public. The business also produced Lightning class sailboats.
Throughout the 1950's and 1960's manufacturing was scaled back in favor of the development of the marina and its ancillary uses. In 1967 the final rowboat rolled off the assembly line.

This is a great marina. All the slip holders are great and the folks running the place are outstanding. There is also a store on premises that is well stocked with very competitive prices. Well protected in bad weather.
— Slip Holder
We have had several boats at Maryland Marina and have one on the hard there now. Wayne, Brian, Martin, and the entire staff are a pleasure to work with. They always work with us to get everything we need done on our time schedule. The yard is great for DIY, prices are reasonable, and the facilities are good.
— Long-Time Customer
We have been going to Maryland Marina for most of the 15 years we have had the boat. They are unequaled in friendliness, service, facility and personnel. We will go back until we can no longer walk from parking area to launch ramp.
— 15-Year Customer
We bought our boat in October of last year. The Staff couldn't have been any more friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. Wayne, Martin, Brian and Russell have all taken their time to show me what I need to care for my boat.
— New Boat Owner
We put the boat in there every spring, they have a double ramp, one of which is quite long for sailboats. The guys in the yard are helpful and knowledgeable, and there ship's store has everything. And there's the great bar and restaurant.
— Seasonal Sailor
Love my marina! Easy to get in and out. Great ramp!
